In a much-anticipated return to the public stage last night, Former President Donald Trump made a point to name the Republicans in Congress who had shown their true colors after the 2020 election.
Trump listed seventeen Representatives who had voted to impeach him after he had left office. He also called on their constituents to vote them out of office in the next election.
The list of seventeen Republicans included:
Rep Adam Kinzer, IL | Rep. Anthony Gonzales, OH | Rep. Fred Upton, MI | Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, WA | Rep. Peter Meijer, MI |
Rep. John Katko, NY | Rep. David Valadao, CA | Sen. Richard Burr, NC | Sen. Bill Cassidy, LA | Sen Susan Collins, ME |
Sen. Lisa Murkowski, AK | Sen. Mitt Romney, UT | Sen. Ben Sasse, NE | Sen. Patrick Toomey, PA | Rep. Tom Rice, SC |
Rep. Dan Newhouse, WA | Rep. Liz Cheney, WY |
It wasn’t lost on viewers that Trump saved Cheney for last. He called her a “warmonger” and pointed out that the Wyoming GOP had censured her after her vote to impeach him.
Trump said, “In her state, her poll numbers have dropped faster than any human being I’ve ever seen! Hopefully they’ll get rid of her in the next election,” he continued. “Get rid of them all.”
Trump went on to say that the RINOs in the Republican party were the source of any division in the party.
“The Republican Party is united. The only division is between a handful of Washington, D.C., establishment political hacks,” he said.
Breitbart reported:
Trump praised Democrats for sticking together in political fights and decried Republicans for divisiveness in the party.
“If Republicans do not stick together, the RINOs that we’re surrounded with will destroy the Republican party and the American worker and will destroy our country itself,” he said.
Trump did not specifically call out Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, but recalled that he saved his senate seat in Kentucky by giving him an endorsement, which he reminded voters was “at his request.”
He cited the success of the House Republicans in the 2020 elections, insisting the party rode on the “coattails” of his presidential campaign.
“That’s why I am announcing that I will be actively working to elect strong tough and smart Republican leaders,” he said.
Trump went on to say,
“Now more than ever is the time for tough, strong, and energetic Republican leaders who have spines of steel. We cannot have leaders who have shown more passion for condemning Americans than they have ever shown for standing up to Democrats, the media, and the radicals who want to turn American into a socialist country!”
This is EXACTLY what we’ve been saying for years! The left is always working hard — and working together — to accomplish their goals.
But on the right, voters — and gun owners — have been told bu their own party that they need to accept mediocrity, cowardice and compromise!
Case in point? Wayne LaPierre got up at CPAC in an obvious attempt to buoy his sinking National Rifle Association. But in 2016 and 2017, when the Republicans controlled all three branches of the government, what did the NRA do?
Did they advance our gun rights, working hard to pass pro-gun bills and roll back federal gun control?
Not at all!
Instead, while they faced NO threats from Democrats, they backed Red Flag gun seizures, the bump stock ban, and more — not to mention swindling their donors for millions of dollars!
We Need New Pro-Gun Leadership
It’s time for a new era in gun politics — a ‘no compromise’ era. And gun owners are ready for this message! They’ve been lied to long enough and they’re tired of losing.
The reality is that gun owners are still one of the most potent political forces in the country — they’ve just had weak, cowardly leadership who were willing to sell out to line their own pockets or to have access to power!
We’re happy to see the rise of groups like the American Firearms Association — a new day is coming!
