Polk County, FL — Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd held a press conference to announce an 8:00 pm curfew for folks gathered to protest the death of George Floyd. But after watching this clip, we think he held a press conference just to kick ass and take names!

Judd said: “I don’t take anything at face value on social media. But we have received information on social media that some of the criminals are taking their criminal conduct into the neighborhoods.
I would tell them if you value your life you probably shouldn’t do that in Polk County. Because the people of Polk county like guns. They have guns. I encourage them to own guns.
And they’re going to be in their homes tonight with their guns loaded. And if you try to break into their homes to steal, to set fires…I’m highly recommending they blow you back out of the house with their guns. So leave the community alone and we’ll do our best to support the community.”
Judd went on to warn those who might think of looting or burning buildings to reconsider. Judd said, “We are going to hunt you down and lock you up if you engage in any criminal conduct.”
In recent days, Polk county has seen peaceful riots start to become dangerous and violent. A release from the Sheriff’s office said, “serious incidents have occurred in Lakeland and are on-going as of the time of declaring this local state of emergency, including threat of injury to civilians, aggravated assault and or battery to civilian(s), and aggravated assault on law enforcement officers.”
In response to that criminal behavior, Polk County declared itself under a State of Emergency yesterday. During this time, a curfew is in place and gasoline sales in the county have been halted. The first curfew went from 5:00pm last night until 5:00 am today.
This latest press release was to announce an 8:00 pm curfew tonight in hopes of keeping the protests peaceful.

Sheriff Judd knocked this one out of the park. This is EXACTLY the response that a Constitution-loving, justice-loving sheriff should have issued.
Americans have the right to defend themselves and their property against violent thugs of any stripe or color. And that’s exactly what they’re going to do in Polk county.
