It came to light on NPR today that Bloomberg News stopped of of their own journalist’s’ plans to publish an article about corruption in the highest levels of the Chinese Communist Party.
Six years ago, journalist Mike Forsythe headed up a team that researched and wrote a story about the how the elites of the Communist Party in China were accumulating massive wealth for themselves. Not very Communist of them, at least not by their own standards.
Forsythe was supposed to write another story because his expose won awards for Bloomberg News. But before it could be published, the followup story was quashed. Bloomberg news refused to publish it.
It came out later that Forsythe reportedly received death threats for his first article. The pressure got so intense that Bloomberg News helped him move from Beijing to Hong Kong. And not long after the move, Bloomberg unceremoniously fired Forsythe.
Why wasn’t his second article published? Why wouldn’t America’s press want to point out the corruption of the elites in Communist China?
Money Talks Louder If You Don’t Have a Conscience to Distract You
Well, from all accounts, the story was nixed because Mike Bloomberg wanted to expand his investment portfolio in China.
And according to audio obtained by NPR, Bloomberg News thought that if they ran the second story, Bloomberg could lose a lot of money–or at least not make as much as he expected to profit.
On the audio recording, the founding editor-in-chief at Bloomberg News, Matthew Winkler, said that publishing the second story could ’cause Bloomberg a lot of problems.’ Winkler said, “It is for sure going to, you know, invite the Communist Party to, you know, completely shut us down and kick us out of the country. So, I just don’t see that as a story that is justified.”
In fact, Bloomberg was so serious about stopping the article that he even tried to make Mike Forsythe’s wife sign a non-disclosure agreement. This while she had no relationship to the news media company at all.
See, Mike Bloomberg has made his billions selling Bloomberg Terminals. The terminals are a computer software system for the financial industry that basically puts all the relevant information, capabilities, and people in the same place.
A license for a single terminal is between $20-24,000 each, and he has more than 325,000 subscribers currently signed up.
Bloomberg wanted to expand his holdings in China, and Forthye’s story would have no doubt made top Chinese officials angry.
A Fraction Of A Sliver Of The Truth
America’s #FakeNews media has long ago stopped reporting on things that actually matter to Americans. This is a nightmare and there’s no telling when we’ll wake up!
The same media mogul who wanted to be the President of the United States was all the while trying to get even cozier in bed with the Chinese.
The same Chinese whose recent virus outbreak is going to cost America in the trillions of dollars and untold numbers of lives lost. And it’s not just the virus, but the suicides, depression, and hardship that people are going to go through because of the government’s response to Covid-19.
If this single news story could make Bloomberg kill an award-winning story and even fire the journalist behind it…imagine what he is willing to do when real power it on the table.
These radical socialists don’t want to upset their socialist friends. They don’t want to talk about the fact that in Communist China, all the money flows uphill into a very few pockets. After all, that’s what Bloomberg wants in America. Destroy the middle class, destroy the Constitution, disarm the people and end the Second Amendment. Than all you have to do is place a few fat-cat leftists at the top of the miserable, oppressive heap.
Men like Mike Bloomberg aren’t fit to empty our Founding Fathers’ chamber pots. The man is a traitor of the highest order.
