Washington, D.C.–Colorado is having a tough year on the gun front. Their red flag bill passed despite heavy opposition and a court battle. This forced several of their sheriffs to declare their counties Second Amendment Sanctuaries. And while we applaud them, for sure, it’s still not a fun place to be in as the sheriff. Then, once their Red Flag bill went into effect in January, Colorado made headlines after a woman whose son died in a ‘suicide by cop’ shooting filed a red flag ERPO against the officer involved.
But don’t give up on Colorado just yet.
In a video filmed in his office, Representative Ken Buck directed his comments at Joe Biden and Beto O’Rourke. In his message, Buck said, ““I have a message for Joe Biden and Beto O’Rourke, if you want to take everyone’s AR-15s in America, why don’t you swing by my office in Washington, D.C. and start with this one. Come and take it.”
Check out his video here:
Buck’s American flag wrapped AR-15 was unloaded and locked per Capital Police regulations. But still, the point stands: not everybody is in politics is willing to lay down in front of the Left’s anti-gun tantrums.
Rep. Buck said that his video was in response to Biden’s publicly stating that he was going to bring Beto O’Rourke in to ‘solve the gun violence’ problem this week.
Well, if that’s the plan, boys, then get started!
Why Don’t We All Have a Ken Buck?
Politicians like Ken Buck are very rare in politics. Hundreds of politicians talk a good game, but either chicken out or sell out when the chips are down.
If you are lucky enough to have a really fearless, down-and-dirty legislator who isn’t afraid to get his hands bloody in a political brawl against the left, call him up and thank him.
But the odds are really good that you don’t have that kind of legislator. Almost nobody does.
You might have a friendly, smiling, soft-handed candidate or legislator. One who sends out mailers in the fall with glossy pictures of them goose hunting in blaze orange. He says he’s pro gun but doesn’t do a damn thing for our gun rights in the capital. If that sounds familiar, call that guy and tell him you’re ashamed of his pandering to you and DEMAND that he fight for your rights, instead. Fight not just to stop the bad guys’ bills, but to advance good gun bills that restore the rights we’ve already lost.
God bless you, Representative Buck. And we’re a little jealous of the wrap job on that AR, we won’t lie.
