In news that broke late Saturday morning, an insider has told media outlets that Michael Bloomberg is considering Hillary Clinton as his pick for Vice President. The source said that early reports said that a Bloomberg-Clinton ticket polled very well with Democrat voters.
While the Bloomberg campaign hasn’t officially confirmed the rumors, they certainly didn’t deny them. When reached for a comment, Communications Director Jason Schechter said, “We are focused on the primary and the debate, not VP speculation.” But anybody who has ever run a campaign knows that you’re working five steps ahead of the fight in front of you. And you don’t run for president unless you have a Vice President pick already in mind.
Politicos are swarming about the possible teaming up, saying that such an alliance would have a much better chance against President Trump in 2020 than any other other candidates currently on the field.
After all, by their thinking, Hillary won the popular vote, so she’s a heavy hitter to add to Bloomberg’s deep pockets. Bloomberg also has more appeal to the more radical element of the Democrat party, with his deep financial ties to gun control, the green agenda and more.
Moving Legal Residence Would Be Concrete Proof
The insider went on to say that Bloomberg is considering moving his legal residence to one of his other properties. This is because both he and Hillary Clinton are legal residents of the state of New York. The electoral collage system makes it difficult for both president and vice president to be from the same state. In fact, the Twelfth Amendment to the Constitution states that the president and vice president could not both inhabit the same state as the elector.
This won’t be a problem for Bloomberg, since he owns properties in Florida, Colorado, and others. He’s not exactly limited in choices.
These anti-gun people are only too happy to join forces in destroying America. We have to join together to stand up to them or they’re going to steam roll right over our gun rights.
We’ll keep you posted as the story develops.
