Atlanta, Georgia — Moments ago, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced he is appointing Kelly Loeffler to replace Johnny Isakson in the U.S. Senate.
But the leaks have already begun by the Loeffler camp seeking to fend off a conservative primary challenger in 2020.
Politico reports Ms. Loeffler will spend upwards of $20 million of her own money in 2020.
From this moment forward, everything Ms. Loeffler does will be about fighting off a challenge from the right.
