Kennesaw, Georgia — $300 million over the next four years.
That’s how much of your taxpayer dollars Johnny Isakson wants to give to the CDC over the next four years for gun control “research.”
His bill S. 2554, would provide a fresh infusion of cash for the left-wing, anti-gun “scholars” over at the CDC, who like they did back in the 80s and 90s, produced anti-gun propaganda that will then be waived around by anti-gun politicians and the Fake News media as a reason to ban firearms.
History has a strange way of repeating itself, and if it were not for an organization like Georgia Gun Owners, you simply would have no idea this is happening AGAIN.
Back in 1996, a group of 10 Republicans Senators wrote a letter laying out the reasons why “gun control” funding should be cut off to the CDC.
Virtually every single “study” coming out of the CDC would recommend gun control.
So these Senators ultimately succeeded in stripping out $2.6 million for the department publishing the political propaganda.
Dr. Arthur Kellermann from Emory University was the “go to” professor who benefited financially and politically from the funding.
Kellermann worked under the CDC auspices whose main goal was to “reduce the number of handguns in private ownership.”
There is thorough article about Kellermann and his taxpayer-funded propagandists at the CDC which I have linked on our website. I invite you to click on the link below and read it.
“Why The Centers for Disease Control Should Not Receive Gun Research Funding”
Isakson’s staff has been presented with this information, yet continue to dig in, saying his bill isn’t gun control at all.
Nonsense: the result of his $300 million in funding for the CDC is gun control propaganda.
Having grown up in Isakson’s Congressional District in East Cobb County, I’ve always known he is a RINO.
He is doing everything in his power to deliver a swift kick in the backside to you and your fellow Second Amendment supporters across this state and country.
He has just a few weeks left in the Senate, so it’s vital we keep up the heat on him.
