Tulsa, Oklahoma – Tina Ring, 53, and Ashley Lee, 30, were forced to draw their revolvers on a shotgun wielding thug in their liquor store.
Tyrone Lee, 36, stormed into Forest Acres Liquor in Tulsa with a sawed-off shotgun and proceeded to snatch cash out of the register.
When he realizes that the women have locked the door to his escape, he comes back to attack them.
The mother shot the thug immediately and proceeded to shoot him multiple times as he flailed around the liquor store.
At one point, the thug wrestles away the mother’s gun and pistol whips her in the face.
He then takes aim at the daughter, who shoots him at point blank range with her own gun.
The mother and daughter regroup and escape the store to safety with the injured thug still squirming on the floor.
“I didn’t want him to hurt my daughter. That was my main thought.”, said Tina.
“You’re not going to scare me off from my store. This is what feeds my family, this is what pays my bills.”
It’s sure a good thing that the mother and daughter were armed.
They had engaged a security mechanism that would lock the criminal between the two front inner and outer doors, but the mechanism failed and only locked the outer door.
The only way for the criminal to go was back inside the store, where he violently attacked the store owners.
If these women were not armed, the scene could have been much different.
The police cannot arrive quick enough to fend off immediate danger like this, and hopefully the viral footage will motivate others to arm themselves against violent crime.
