Presidio County, TX – The people of Presidio County, Texas have spoken, and their Democrat Commissioners have been forced to act in favor of the Second Amendment.
The Commissioners Court voted unanimously to pass a “Second Amendment Sanctuary” resolution submitted by residents of the county.
Scores of residents were present at the resolution hearing in support, including the Presidio County Sheriff.
Being a rural county with a slow police response, local citizens DEMANDED a resolution ensuring their right to keep and bear arms.
Many have taken notice to increases in legislative gun control proposals, and Presidio County locals are not having any of it.
This resolution is a way to guard against any future infringement on Second Amendment rights as stated in the U.S. and Texas Constitutions.
With a noticeable influx of illegal immigration and drug trafficking in the community, the residents’ backs are against the wall.
Presidio County had no other choice but to address the local concerns.
Despite the commonality of Democrats operating under a gun grabbing agenda, the Democrat Presidio County
Commissioners were forced to break ranks.
The County Commission knows their elected positions are at the will of the people.
Numerous counties across this nation are joining the “Second Amendment Sanctuary” movement.
Presidio County’s Resolution reads as follows…
“Be it resolved that the people of Presidio County…. hereby designate Presidio County a Second Amendment sanctuary in order to preserve for the people of, on, and in Presidio County their rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America. Furthermore, any regulation that violates the Second, Ninth, Tenth, or Fourteenth Amendments to the Constitution of the United States of America shall be regarded by the people of Presidio County to be unconstitutional and therefore by necessity unenforceable and invalid….We the people of Presidio County through this resolution hereby declare our rights, our freedom, and our liberty as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America.”
Presidio County has made it clear that you don’t mess with their county in Texas!
