While the FAKE NEWS would have you believe that gun control is gaining steam all over the country, that’s certainly not the case in this mid western state.
Fresh off the heels of passing the largest gun bill in their state’s history, which included Stand-Your-Ground law, Iowans are more in love with the Second Amendment than ever!
A recent poll of 802 adults in Iowa, commissioned by The Des Moines Register and Mediacom, shows that 56% of Iowans do not believe that stricter gun control laws would reduce mass shootings.
This will come as no surprise to Iowans, who have steadily removed anti-gun legislators from office for years.

According to the Des Moines Register, Iowa gun laws got even better in 2017:
Sweeping changes in Iowa’s gun laws were approved by the Republican-led Iowa Legislature during its 2017 session. The legislation included so-called stand-your-ground provisions, which specify that reasonable force, including deadly force, may be used even if an alternative course of action is available, if the alternative action entails a risk to life or safety, or the life or safety of a third party.
In addition, the legislation allows people with permits to carry weapons to possess concealed handguns in the Iowa Capitol. The law also allows children to possess a pistol or revolver while under direct supervision of a parent or guardian who is at least 21 years old. Some other provisions ensure permit-holder confidentiality, add penalties for illegal sales and legalize short-barreled rifles and shotguns.
But this pro-gun trend isn’t just taking place in Iowa, either.
A recent Quinnipiac Poll found that less than half of millennials support banning the popular AR-15 rifle.
Another poll, this time of law enforcement officers, showed that 75% of them believe that armed citizens are important in helping to stop crime, and 91% support concealed carry.
So while Hollywood elites and D.C. liberals continue to mock and belittle rural Americans, and gun owners in particular, they continue to lose the culture war where gun rights are concerned.
