(Puyallup, WA) – A 33 year old Washington man is alive and well after a late night altercation with an armed intruder.
At 10:30 p.m. a resident of the Chestnut Hills apartments in the 200 block of 21st Ave SW heard the commotion of an armed intruder smashing his way through the apartment door.
The would-be victim had just enough time to arm himself, and when the suspect burst through the door, the prepared homeowner fired two shots, striking the intruder and sending him fleeing out the door.
Local police notified surrounding hospitals to be on the lookout for a man with a gunshot wound, and shortly afterwards picked up the suspect at a Good Samaritan Hospital seeking treatment.
