(Philadelphia, PA) – A brazen and armed robbery attempt, taking place in broad daylight in the 4800 block of Palethorp St., ended with the suspect being shot by his would-be victim.
Investigators report that the victim in the case was legally armed and fired his weapon in self-defense. The bullet struck the suspect in the left side of his groin, exiting through his left buttocks.
The suspect was taken to an area hospital and is expected to face charges; the victim was not harmed and is not expected to face charges.
Pennsylvania is a Stand–Your–Ground state.
